Noah watches Tatsuma move and decides to follow suit. It feels weird not only being in this ridiculous get up, but walking into such a fancy restaurant. This is the sort of place Ari would go to, not himself. Honestly, the sharp looks from the host only makes him feel more uncomfortable.
"It's like visiting my extended family..." He mutters under his breath.
Luckily even if they are ill suited, the reserve Tatsuma placed is enough to make sure they're not thrown out, especially as it's a rather quiet day for the restaurant and they need the money. So with click on the tongue, the host escorts them to a rather fancy clothed table.
Well, if nothing else, Tatsuma is good at remaining unfazed as ever. When the host stops at their table, he takes a seat with a gentle smile.
The menus are neat, clean little booklets, presented primly to the boys by the waiter. He picks one up and...
immediately stares at the pricing on the dishes. Okay. Maybe he is a little fazed by this after all. He anticipated having to pay up for this, but seeing it in print really brings it home.
Noah had taken his own seat, moving to set Timcanpy down in a chair next to his, before looking at the menu. He frowns a little, this certainly wasn't his type of food, and the prices...there's no way he could afford that on just the salary he gets at the Confectionary.
He looks over at Tatsuma, and notices his own fazed reaction at the menu. Yeah, he can imagine Tatsuma wasn't rich. If Tatsuma didn't need this for bingo, he'd advise them leaving now. But since he doubts just sitting at a table and leaving will work.
Ugh...fine. Sometimes sacrifices would have to be made, even if it meant tapping into money he rather not.
Yeah, so it's unskippable. [He says with a sigh. How tedious.
The offer of help isn't unwanted, but he's skeptical enough that he looks at her with a raised eyebrow] Really? And what kind of favour in return would that be?
"Well, I don't have one in mind. But it's not something super major. I'm obviously not going to ask you to assassinate anyone or something." [Still, she does stop to try and think of one. Might as well have things set up in concrete terms.]
"How about this? I help you with your space, you help me with one. Deal?"
[Family has an odd way of working sometimes. Even though Noah could think of many other people he'd rather spend time with, Dante being the boyfriend of his cousin did cause them to have to spend time together. Sometimes, even in completely mundane situations, such as shopping trips.
Today they were in the kitchen section of the Towers. Noah's endeavors in learning how to cook made him realize that there was a severe lack of kitchen utensils at home. Which as expected, just thinking about cooking and food puts Noah in a better mood than usual.]
Wow, they have chocobo-themed everything. [Chocobo bowls, placemats, plates, ice cube trays] Bet Prompto would get a fucking kick outta it.
[And spying the themed sets next to it, Noah perks up, because of course, he likes the creepy looking doll]
[There are times when Dante wonders what he's done to find himself in the situations he winds up in. Today, shopping with Noah, is definitely one of those times.
The fact that he doesn't get along with the boy is a no-brainer. And yet, as soon as Ari asks him if he could give Noah a ride... how could he ever say no to her?
But that doesn't mean he has to treat Noah with kid gloves. He looks at the themed dishware with a skeptical eye.]
Figures you'd like the demented-looking stuff. You're right, I should've brought Prompto.
[Even if Prompto probably has as much idea of what a "mandolin" is as he does. And he's pretty sure it's not an instrument in this case, right...?]
C'mon, I like his smile! It makes me think of Timcanpy's.
[Timcanpy, who is never far from him, takes the moment to smile at Dante to show that see? He has a great not at all creepy smile with all his big shiny sharp teeth.
...Okay, so it's kinda creepy. ]
You could always take a picture to show him. He seems really happy whenever someone thinks of him.
[Well it's money and the fact lemonade in the UK is more lemon flavored soda rather than the sweet nectar of the gods in the US. Seriously no one would ever be willing to pay $10 for that.
He'll take the cup with his good hand, but doesn't take a drink out of it. Instead he's too busy grinning at the idea of getting to hit Dante. Completely worth the cost.]
Alright, here goes!
[And if Dante thinks he's not going to hold back? Well, he's completely right. While his good hand holds his cup, he decides to try out his slapping moves with that weird arm of his- and slaps Dante hard across the face.
Good news? Noah's still not strong or mobile enough in that arm to break any of Dante's bones. His beautiful face is preserved.
Bad news? It's still hits pretty hard and feels like he's getting hit more by a lead bat than a normal hand.]
[What the fuck Noah the prompt said slap, not concuss with a blunt weapon! Dante swears as the hit connects, but he's definitely letting his body move with the hit, letting the momentum of that blow move him as much as he can rather than taking it all into him.
It still hurts like a motherfucker, though. He's definitely gonna have a mark coming up on his cheekbone from that one later...
It'll take a moment before Dante straightens back up to face Noah. Any sooner and he'd be tempted to verbally tear him a new one! But as it is, Dante doesn't look impressed. It's not that he'd expected Noah to hold back, but...]
You know, I'm pretty sure using that club of yours is cheating. The square said to slap someone, not concuss them.
It's a hand, not a club, and you're not gonna get a concussion. Should've specified if you wanted a light slaps.
[Did he cross a line? Possibly. Was it immature and petty? Definitely. But he can't deny it did feel good too. Not exactly the violence part, but getting one over on Dante - that is what made it feel good.
Good enough he'll even take a sip of that lemonade. Then...quickly pull the cup from his mouth as he coughs what he just drank, effectively killing any suave gesture he thought he had going.
This does not taste anything like he thought it would. ]
[It takes a moment to get used to the rocking, especially when he's definitely too tall for this ride, but soon enough he's used to this and relaxing some. Hell, even joking a little:]
[he sighs, doing a full body shake, and then putting the gray chalk back in the box. he spots a tree and hurries on over to it, tugging at the collar of his shirt back and forth to mitigate some of the heat he feels]
This may work better.
[and prompto sits down, lying on his bck and spreading his arms]

Koutarou: Grant a Wish
Wow, sounds...lucrative.
[Poor, really. But you know if it makes him happy, that's what counts. Just like his dad's job even if it left them pretty broke]
Anyway, with that sketch done- it's safe to say your wish has been granted, right?
no subject
For the lucky ones.
[ Koutarou’s popularity has risen, but it’s still not exactly the most paying job. ]

Marinette
[There's an annoyed twitch of his eyebrow]
I meant stranger. I don't know you, so I'm not letting you near my face.
[Of course she does]
Yeah. Fact we make enough profit to pay the employees well enough to be willing to wear these uniforms.
no subject
[She shrugs. Thanks for the food, chump]
Is that so? [she just thought you had no dignity] Is it just for boys to dress up as girls, or can girls apply too? Maybe I should get a job here.
[it's hard to tell whether she's joking or not]

Prompto: "Hopscotch & Body Drawing"

Fuck, sorry.
Should we try for some in the shade? That might be cooler!
