[He says it dryly, like he clearly gets that she was joking about it. But with her new terms? He gives a nod.]

"For now, let's get to carding. Do you have to do a specific design or what?"

[It's okay, he's fine with fake enthusiasm. These bingo squares tend to be nothing but tedious.]

Nothing too fancy. It just says it has to be a fort, so I'm thinking... [He pulls up his phone to show an image] Something like this?

"Alright. Simple enough." [She begins picking up the cards "So, how'd you get dragged into this mess?"

[Make a guess Maggie. That's not the smartest question on your part right there.]

[He meanwhile goes back to trying to set up the cards, though her question gets a look]

Uh...I bought a phone?

"...Yeah okay that makes sense."

[She is now realizing just how stupid her question is and she is somewhat ashamed of herself for it. Stupid questions irritated her, how could she indulge in asking them herself?]

[Continuing to put more cards up, he'll at least oblige in giving her more information]

No one knows why the fuck anyone's picked. Best I can guess is it's not completely random, because there's way too many people who know each other on this thing. I swear half my fucking homeroom's on the app. [Which statically in a city this size? Would be impossible for a purely random sample]

Also there seems to be a strong preference for immigrants, from what I've seen.

"Yeah. I noticed all the Japanese people." [Maybe the people running Retrospec were weeaboos, Maggie could neither confirm nor deny that.]

"But I noticed the whole 'knowing each other' thing. Or, rather, had it conveniently pointed out to me."

[Noah really isn't the philosophical type, he lives too much in the moment for that. So that just gets a raised eyebrow as he tries not to think about it too much]

Read a lot of philosophy books or something?

"I did as a child. I still go to through them from time to time, but now I mostly listen to stuff. I don't have the time to read much anymore."

[It was a sad truth, but hey. Listening to lectures was interesting enough for her anyways.]
