No, it's definitely more than that. I think it might be easier to show than tell, but I'm not that confident in my control of it yet.

[ On the one hand, he's not sure how to feel about this. Involving his friends in whatever this power is, it feels like -- a risk, something he might do to them that he couldn't take back.

But on the other, the longer he refuses to face this new reality, the worse it'll get. Besides, he trusts Noah to keep his cool, more or less.

So, half an hour later (or so) will find Yu chilling near the woods, messing around on his phone as he waits for Noah. He seems calm, at least... ]

[Noah isn't really thinking about the risk, he never does. He's just more worried about his friend. Whatever was going on with Retrospec, it only seemed to be getting worse this month. First his arm, now this...

He gets there a bit later, because he had to take the buses. But soon enough, he's walking up to the forest entrance where Yu is. Despite the near summer warmth, he's wearing long sleeves and gloves]

[ Though Yu won't comment on Noah's long sleeves and gloves, he will blow a quiet sigh out through his nose. He understands his friend's reasons, though worries for him as the weather gets warmer. They'll have to find light linens he can wear, anything that would help vent heat so he doesn't risk overheating in the summer months...

He'll give his head a shake to clear his thoughts and beckon. ]

Still fucking weird. [Helpful] I'm in physical therapy and that's helping it move more, but...no one's still got any clue what the fuck it is.

It's good to hear physical therapy is doing something for it. I imagine the only way you'll find out what's going on is through hallucinomemories.

[ A slight, resigned shrug. ] That seems likeliest, anyway.

I don't get it though. I get an arm, you get something in your soul, and then there's the shit happening to Ryoji...

Other than weird shit's happening to us and its probably Retrospec's doing, it just seems so...fucking random, you know?

Random? Maybe. This power seems to match something that happened in one of my hallucinomemories, though not perfectly. I have a memory of a figure, and being able to use some ability... so in a way, this isn't that surprising.

[ A pause, and then, somewhat blasé: ] Then again, how can it be anything but surprising to suddenly develop superpowers...?
